your description has informed that there is a rumoured new metal slug. Interesting interpretation of the shotgun powerup being on a rock instead of a case like i would've thought.

oh, that's not the shotgun, that's the somewhat rare "stone" powerup which turns your bombs into rocks. Can usually be found in the train stage in Metal Slug X

but yeah, I'd love for the new metal slug to be good and multi-platformed

This is really great! Definitely not as grotesque as Metal Slug 2, but it's good in it's own way.
